Our mission is to provide a sustainable, eatable single-use cutlery alternative that will eliminate the use and adverse impacts of all types of single-use plastic cutlery.
Plastic cutlery is considered one of the most common pollutants and waste found nearly everywhere – in landfill, forests/natural habitats, water bodies, or oceans. Estimates show that of the 3.4 million tonnes (per year) plastic waste generated in Australia, less than 10% is recycled, and about 130,000 tonnes of plastic waste enter the environment.
The Use N Eat Edible Cutlery is a revolutionary, sustainable alternative to other single-use cutleries, be it wooden, bio-plastic or paper-based. The Use N Eat edible cutlery is made from naturally sourced ingredients such as wheat & mixed grain flour, spices and flavours and is 100% biodegradable and can contribute to the circular economy.
Why Use Edible Cutlery
The amount of solid plastic waste produced since the 1950s that have not been burned or recycled is around 4.9 billion tonnes. This could all have been dumped into a 70-meter-deep landfill the size of Manhattan.
While much of it has indeed ended up in landfill worldwide, far too much of it has found its way into the natural environment, with around 10 million tons a year ending up in the ocean. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean by weight than the fish.

Is there any allergy advice for edible cutlery?
Edible cutlery is made from 100% naturally produced multi-grain flour and contained no added preservatives or artificial flavours. Please check ingredients and nutrition facts before you using.
Is edible cutlery vegan?
Yes. No animal product is used in making edible cutlery.
How long does it take for the cutlery to bio-degrade/compost?
We have designed our edible cutlery to be eaten with your meal, minimising the waste and the need to worry about bio-degrade. Our edible spoon can be put into Green Organic Recycling for composting if not eaten, where it will naturally biodegrade within 1 to 2 weeks. As it is made from naturally sourced ingredients, it is perfectly safe for backyard composting as well. If put in landfill/ General waste, it should still decompose, but it may take longer.
